Raised in McNairy County, Amber focuses her practice on helping people throughout West Tennessee. Her practice focuses on complex litigation, ranging from catastrophic injury claims, like representing those injured in car wrecks to products liability injuries, as well as unraveling fraudulent schemes on behalf of injured parties. Trial work has shaped her practice over the last fifteen years, and she has tried cases in Shelby, Dyer, Tipton, Lauderdale, Hardeman counties – even traveling into Middle Tennessee.


Prior to joining Harris Shelton, Amber practiced with her longtime mentor and former law partner, the venerable J. Houston Gordon, for twelve years. Handling both jury and bench trials, Ms. Shaw considers it a privilege to represent individuals and business owners at a time that is often difficult and overwhelming.

Skarbrevik v. Personal Representative of Estate of Brown, 2015 Tenn.App. LEXIS 910 (Tenn.Ct.App. 2015) (Finding coverage to exist in the amount of $1,000,000 on a disputed policy of coverage)

Orlowski v. Bates, 146 F.Supp.3d 908 (W.D.Tenn. 2015) (Further defining the prejudgment attachment statute in the state of Tennessee in the context of temporary and preliminary injunctions)

State v. Bargery, 2017 Tenn.Crim.App. LEXIS 902 (2017) (Reversal of a double homicide conviction)

Burrell v. Tipton County Election Commission, 2022 US App LEXIS 28934 (6th Cir. 2022) (Upholding dismissal of an improperly filed election challenge)
